THERAPY

I offer short-term and long-term individual psychotherapy for teenagers and adults. Sessions are currently being conducted via teletherapy, but typically they could take place in-person at one of my Los Angeles offices. Although I have a specialty in anxiety disorders, I am also a generalist and work with a variety of issues, including:

THERAPUETIC PROCESS

I view therapy as a collaborative process, and I take an active role in working with my clients to meet their goals. Regardless of your reasons for coming to therapy, each person is unique, and I believe therapy should be tailored for each individual. Therefore, I spend the initial sessions conducting a thorough assessment of a client’s presenting concerns, history and goals for therapy. At the end of this assessment, I give each client my impressions of their presenting concerns, and we discuss how therapy could be useful for them. I use evidence-based treatments with my clients, and tailor the treatment to specifically meet the needs of each individual.

PAYMENT

Payment is expected at the time of services, and I accept cash, check and major credit cards. While I do not bill insurance companies directly, I am happy to provide a statement of services for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. While standard HMOs do not cover my services, many other insurance plans will provide partial reimbursement.

NO SURPRISES ACT

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of services. If you are uninsured or are not submitting to your insurance carrier for reimbursement, I am required to provide a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your first session. You can also ask me for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit: www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
